I work with nonprofit organizations (like ReServe and Healing Hearts) and in music.
In the past three years, I’ve been producing &/or mixing records for artists like Andrew Vladeck, Caithlin De Marrais, Balthrop Alabama, El May, Michael Leviton, Tin Kitchen, Scary Mansion, and Rainer Maria, where I also spent over 10 years playing the guitar — a job I would wholeheartedly recommend to almost anyone.
From 2003-2007, I also did a residency at the Fall Cafe at 307 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens (Brooklyn), where I still keep office hours on an informal basis.
My second record under my own name is out right now on this very record label. Give a listen.
I am a citizen by birth of Balthrop, Alabama; and a singer and songwriter in the band we named the town after.
I also perform under my own name, of local renown for my killer rendition of “Ave Maria.” I’m currently available for weddings and wakes, should you find yourself soon to be married, or recently deceased.
Caithlin De Marrais
“Pop it on the table, let the doctor have a look…”
My work is primarily in movement and voice.
I am a certified yoga teacher and creative director of Caithlin De Marrais, a band formed in Brooklyn NY in 2007, whose members include but are not limited to Spencer Heyfron, Josh Kaufman, Bob Hoffnar, Konrad Meissner, Lara Meyerratken, Jason Lawrence, and Frally Hynes, as well as the Balthrops and Kyle. I’ve collaborated with the terrific jazz arranger Willie Martinez.
My first full length album as Caithlin De Marrais, My Magic City, featuring such future hits as “Outer Space Is Still Sexy,”and “Animals,” will be out Tuesday October 28th, 2008 on End Up Records.
